OEM & ODM
Your connector programme, made under your brand
Build on a factory that already moulds, assembles and tests the same DC connection products. Bring your specification, your logo and your packaging — drawings are confirmed before tooling starts.
- Custom specifications, logo and packaging under your brand
- Small trial orders accepted for regular models; custom runs typically 15–25 working days
- In-house mould development with 16 engineers
What can be customised
Most projects start from one of our existing platforms and change a defined set of parameters. Anything outside that scope is quoted as a new mould.
Electrical ratings
Current and voltage variants within the platform, agreed against your system specification.
Contacts and plating
Copper contact and plating options to drawing, with crimp geometry fixed at sample approval.
Housing and colour
Colour matching for brand identity or polarity coding, with moulded or laser marking.
Marking and labels
Laser marking, moulded logo, rating label and barcode content in your format.
Cable assemblies
Pre-crimped lengths and connector combinations assembled and tested before packing.
Packaging
Retail box, master carton, inner label and shipping mark to your artwork.
Combiner configuration
Fuse, breaker, SPD and input/output layout set to the string design.
Documentation
Datasheet, drawing and label text issued in your document format.
What customisation looks like
Colour, marking and combinations are the changes buyers ask for most. The photos show the standard range; your version is built to the approved drawing.
Housing colours
Colour and polarity coding for battery and storage connectors, with your mark on the housing.
Connector combinations
Pre-assembled cable lengths and branch configurations built to the drawing.
Terminal hardware
Current classes and panel mounting with your marking and label content.
OEM or ODM: which fits your programme
The commercial difference is where the design starts and who carries the tooling.
| OEM | ODM | |
|---|---|---|
| Starting point | Your drawing and specification | SOLKV existing platform |
| Tooling | New mould to your design | Existing mould, minor modification |
| Branding | Your logo and packaging | Your logo on the standard housing |
| Order size | Discussed per drawing and annual volume | Small trial orders for regular models |
| Lead time | Tooling, then 15–25 working days production | 3–7 days from stock; 15–25 days for custom |
| Best for | Proprietary interfaces and system-specific designs | Faster market entry with lower tooling risk |
From requirement to container
Eight stages, each with a document you approve before the next one starts.
Requirement review
Drawing or target specification, application, annual volume and target price.
Feasibility
We confirm which platform fits, what must change and whether new tooling is needed.
Drawing confirmation
2D and 3D drawing plus artwork approved before any tool is cut.
Sample build
Samples built on the production process, not a separate laboratory line.
Sample approval
Fit, electrical performance and marking signed off against the drawing.
Tooling and pilot
Mould qualification and a pilot run with first-article inspection.
Mass production
In-process checks at crimping, assembly and sealing.
Inspection and shipping
Final inspection, packing list and documents issued before dispatch.
Engineering and tooling in house
Product design, mould development and assembly sit in the same plant. That shortens the loop between a sample comment and the next drawing revision — and keeps the tool that makes your part under the same roof as the line that runs it.
- 16 R&D engineers covering design, tooling and testing
- 8 automated assembly lines and 130+ production and testing machines
- R&D investment of 4–6% of annual revenue
- 40+ export markets across Europe, Southeast Asia and Latin America
