Product Description and Features
The PV Combiner Box is a key component in solar photovoltaic power generation systems. It is designed to combine the DC outputs from multiple PV strings and deliver the combined output to the inverter. This helps reduce cable installation, minimize power loss, and simplify system maintenance.
Each input string inside the combiner box can be equipped with a dedicated PV fuse and terminal block. Together with a DC circuit breaker or load isolating switch, the system provides effective switching and protection for individual PV strings.
The combiner box is equipped with a built-in Type 1 + Type 2 combined Surge Protective Device (SPD), providing effective protection against lightning-induced surges and switching overvoltage.
The enclosure can be made of powder-coated cold-rolled steel or stainless steel with UV-resistant surface treatment. With an IP65 protection rating, the enclosure is suitable for long-term outdoor operation and can withstand rain, snow, salt spray, and high- or low-temperature environments.
An optional intelligent monitoring module can also be installed to collect real-time data including individual string current, total current, and system voltage. RS485 communication is supported for remote monitoring, helping improve intelligent operation and maintenance of photovoltaic power plants.
